It would be nice to have the ability to merge prospect records that come back as separate prospects that really are one in the same. Users want the ability to merge constituent records. It needs to be able to merge Wealth and Biographical information and allow you to select the key areas you want to keep from each record. Today you have to perform these tasks manually and then delete the record you don't want.
Has anyone had any success dealing with duplicate prospects? I've encountered duplicates at least two different ways:
What happens when I “find a new prospect” (by name and state) and 2 or more matches come up which are clearly the same person? (How do we merge all of these new records into one, so that we can see all the information and confirm/reject using other research tools?)
What happens when I “find a new prospect” of a person already in our ResearchPoint, and the “new prospect” record appears to have higher quality or more recent information than the record added to RP from out database? (How do we merge the old and new info into one record, so that an analyst can confirm or reject new/old information?)
So pleased this feature is live!
Laura, would you mind posting your questions in Community? I think you'll get the answers you are looking for if you post there! community.blackbaud.com/products/targetanalytics
