ResearchPoint Ideas

Clicking "Add Spouse" should automatically tell RP you're adding a spouse

When you click the "Add Spouse" option under Relationships, and you finish entering the spouse's information, why does RP need to ask again what kind of relationship the person has with your constituent? You clicked "Add Spouse". It's a Spouse. This info should be entered automatically.

    Admin response

This additional option is due to ResearchPoint allowing you to label relationships how you'd like. For example, if you don't want spouse/spouse, you could choose partner/partner instead.

Thanks Robyn - you can add additional table entries you'd like to appear on these drop downs. If you go to Administration > Code Tables and scroll down under Biographical and choose Relationship Type, you can Add on this page and that is what will show up in your options. Let me know if that helps.

    Thanks!

Thank you for your reply. However, the only options I ever see are “Spouse” or “Business”. “Partner” isn’t an option. If there were a range of options as you describe, then the multiple clicks would make more sense.
